Description
. This contract, on-site position offers an exciting opportunity for an Associate-level physician to deliver advanced cardiac care in a collaborative and patient-focused clinical environment.
As a Locum Interventional Cardiologist, you will provide comprehensive diagnostic and interventional services, including coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention, and other catheter-based procedures. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of nurses, technologists, and fellow physicians to ensure the highest standards of cardiovascular care for patients in the Sebring community.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Conduct coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for cardiac patients
- Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary care teams
- Provide consultation services to referring physicians and other departments
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic medical records
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment options
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical outcome initiatives
- Maintain current medical knowledge through continuing education and training
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Interventional Cardiology
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice
- Associate-level experience in interventional cardiology procedures
- Proficiency in cardiac catheterization and coronary intervention techniques
- Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
- Experience with electronic medical records systems
- Willingness to work on-site in Sebring
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Schedule:
7a-4p in cath lab + 24-hour call, 7 on/7 off
Setting:
Inpatient
Support Staff: 2 Interventional Cardiologists
Must be board-certified
