Job Description- Sign On Bonus $10,000 for qualified candidates
- Relocation Assistance up to $10,000 for qualified candidates
- Lead and participate in laboratory performance improvement activities, promoting team building, employee engagement, patient satisfaction, and safety.
- Manage quality assessment, technical oversight, problem solving, scheduling, interviewing applicants, staff performance input, training, and competency evaluations.
- Perform assigned pre-analytical activities related to laboratory testing, including equipment maintenance, function checks, documentation, inventory control, specimen collection, biological specimen processing, cleaning, disinfection, quality control, and calibration.
- Participate in laboratory and hospital Performance Improvement activities.
- Complete all expected tests and analytical procedures efficiently and accurately according to established procedures, performance standards, and departmental competency standards, participating in proficiency testing and adhering to federal, state, and institutional regulations.
- Carry out post-analytical activities related to laboratory testing, reporting results (including highly abnormal results) in accordance with established procedures, and providing technical and support information related to laboratory testing for all age groups.
- Read, examine, and interpret complex test results, serving as a resource and addressing complex tests/procedures.
- Manage instrument maintenance and troubleshooting practices.
- Lead quality control and quality assurance testing.
- Provide orientation and training to new employees and medical technology students, and document orientation and training.
- Provide guidance to technical and support staff, resolve customer service issues within guidelines, and support education to clinical staff as appropriate or requested.
