Patient Registrar PRN – HCA Healthcare

As a Registrar, you will be responsible for timely and accurate patient registration, interviewing patients for all pertinent account information, and verifying insurance coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview patients at workstation or bedside to obtain all necessary account information.
  • Provide exemplary customer service.
  • Ensure charts are completed and accurate.
  • Verify all insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization.
  • Calculate and collect patient liability amounts.
  • Ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatments.
  • Process patient charts according to workflow and productivity standards.
  • Interview incoming patients and their representatives for identifying and demographic information, insurance and financial details.
  • Assign insurance plans accurately.
  • Enter authorization and referral numbers into the registration system.
  • Secure required signatures for treatments, release of medical information, insurance benefits, and payment of services.
  • Explain policies regarding services, pricing, insurance billing, and payment.
Qualifications
  • 1 year of related experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
