Patient Registrar PRN – HCA Healthcare
As a Registrar, you will be responsible for timely and accurate patient registration, interviewing patients for all pertinent account information, and verifying insurance coverage.
Key Responsibilities- Interview patients at workstation or bedside to obtain all necessary account information.
- Provide exemplary customer service.
- Ensure charts are completed and accurate.
- Verify all insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization.
- Calculate and collect patient liability amounts.
- Ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatments.
- Process patient charts according to workflow and productivity standards.
- Interview incoming patients and their representatives for identifying and demographic information, insurance and financial details.
- Assign insurance plans accurately.
- Enter authorization and referral numbers into the registration system.
- Secure required signatures for treatments, release of medical information, insurance benefits, and payment of services.
- Explain policies regarding services, pricing, insurance billing, and payment.
- 1 year of related experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
