- The role of a physicians' (DL) patient navigator is to build effective working relationships with primary care physicians, specialists, patients, healthcare teams, and resource providers to guide patients through the cancer care process from diagnosis and treatment through recovery and surveillance.
- Investigate, resolve, document, and report specific patient and family complaints and concerns to leadership and staff.
- Develop, implement, and participate in customer service and patient relations initiatives.
- Provide regular accountability and variance analysis of the patient experience.
- Minimum of one year of experience in coordinating cancer care/social services.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
- Valid Florida driver’s license required.
- Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and juggle multiple competing tasks and demands without constant oversight.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Proficiency with various research tools including the Internet.
