Position:
Retail Assistant Store Manager 3273 at First Cash.
Salary: 17.00 to 20.00 per hour. This role includes an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional 4.99 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management or 3rd key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for day-to-day operations, promoting a positive environment, partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.
Alongside the Store Manager, this role analyzes store financial statements to ensure goals are met. You will support asset protection, promote our business, and target new customer acquisitions. Employees work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms in FFL locations, and more. This position offers an hourly wage plus commission tied to productivity and a bonus based on store performance.
Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, count cash drawers and merchandise, and protect assets by following procedures.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer processes in the store including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of all loans issued.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees to ensure understanding of the store mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting, in accordance with laws.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays; 40+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and office machines.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Analytical skills; cash handling experience; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong work ethic and business sense.
