Accountant - Commerical Real Estate

Overview

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our property management team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our financial operations running smoothly by overseeing day-to-day AP/AR functions, vendor management, and supporting contract compliance. This role is on-site in Secaucus, NJ.

• Manage accounts payable on a weekly basis, processing 20–30 invoices
• Handle accounts receivable on a monthly cycle (approx. 40 statements)
• Monitor contract compliance and budget adherence across properties
• Follow up with vendors on insurance certificates and required documentation
• Assist with maintenance contract renewals
• Support the team with general administrative tasks related to property finances

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounting or Accounts Payable/Receivable
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to communicate clearly with vendors and internal teams
• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience

• Experience using MRI and Nexus (or similar financial software)
• Background in real estate or property management

• Nexus – Invoice and payment processing
