Construction Inspector

My client is a top notch CIVIL Consulting Engineering firm who is actively seeking Construction Inspectors and Observers with NYDOT experience. The candidate my client will hire for this position will have at least 5 years of construction inspection and oversight experience. They will provide construction observation primarily for municipal infrastructure projects; however, their work may involve some county, state, and federal funded projects as well as utility authority work, all of which may include roadway resurfacing and/or construction, water supply and distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection and treatment systems, storm sewer systems, park and recreation facilities, private land development.

• Act in the capacity of construction observer / inspector to provide extensive observation of construction project work being performed by contractor and serve as Engineer’s liaison with Contractor.
• Attend and/or lead pre-construction & weekly job progress meetings.
• Conduct on-site observations of the work in progress to assist Engineer in determining if the work is proceeding in accordance with the Contract Documents, both alone and/or as part of a team.
