Command Digital is seeking an Imposition & Desktop Prepress Operator for the 1st shift (7 AM - 3 PM) and 2nd shift (3 PM - 11 PM) for a fast-paced digital printing company.
As a Prepress Operator (entry-level), you will help prepare customer files for presses across three divisions, serving as a bridge between digital workflow and production. You’ll learn the ropes of file validation, automation, and quality control, with opportunities to gain skills in scripting and workflow optimization.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Review incoming customer files (PDF, AI, InDesign, TIFF, etc.) for completeness and correctness
- Perform preflight checks: fonts, color modes, bleed, overprint, transparency flattening, resolution, etc.
- Fix and correct customer files as needed using prepress tools and applications
- Learn and use Pit Stop actions to automate file corrections and checks
- Impose layouts (using Preps Imposition or equivalent tools) for various press types
- Convert file formats, adjust color, proof, and prepare files for production
- Assist in developing or modifying automation tasks (potential exposure to Java or scripting over time)
- Work collaboratively with production and press teams to resolve issues and meet deadlines
