Eligibility Specialist Continuous; ES

Job Duties

• Conduct telephone interviews to assist clients with determining eligibility for SNAP and FI at application and annual recertification. Collect and verify information to determine initial and continued eligibility and process cases if all required documentation is available at the time of the interview. Document receipt of all required information and contact with the household.
• Perform shelter/emergency response duties as directed.

• High School Diploma and relevant program experience in clerical administration, Social Work, Correctional administration, or general Business Administration.
• Bachelor’s Degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.
• Knowledge of local community resources.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships and communicate effectively.
• Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to master required databases and systems.
• Ability to enter data into a computer to determine eligibility for benefits during the workday.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
