More Information

• This position is available statewide.

Duties

• Undertake comprehensive assessment and treatment planning of offenders, providing evidence based, best practice interventions in an assigned area of practice.
• Maintain offender case notes, records and administrative information and prepare formal assessments and other reports in accordance with relevant practice standards.
• Provide leadership, clinical direction, and guidance to Community Corrections staff.
• Work collaboratively with Practice Leads and Unit Managers to provide training, expert advice, quality assurance and case management support to Probation Officers working with offenders subject to community based intervention.
• Liaise and build relationships with stakeholders to support community and victim‑survivor safety.
• Perform other duties as envisaged by the assigned classification under the relevant industrial award or agreement and in accordance with the skills, competency and training of the occupant.

Essential Requirements

• A degree of at least 3 years duration in Psychology, Social Work or Counselling or equivalent as provided by a recognised university.

Pre‑employment Checks

• Pre‑employment (National Police Record) checks for arson and fire setting, violent crimes and crimes against the person, sex‑related offences, drug and alcohol related offences, crimes involving dishonesty, deception and/or conspiracy, making false declarations, malicious damage and destruction to property, serious traffic offences, crimes against public order or relating to the Administration of Law and Justice, Executive or the Legislative Power.
• Disciplinary action in previous employment.
• Identification check.
