WordPress; Front-End Engineer

Word Press Engineer Our client located in Northern New Jersey is looking for a Senior Word Press Engineer to join their passionate team working on world class websites and digital products. This team is focused on building mobile first, database and feed driven Word Press products that their consumers can use in 100+ countries.
To succeed in this role, you will be hands on during projects, influence architectural decisions, and lead a team of engineers. You will have excellent communication with stakeholders and make sure projects are delivered on time.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in both front end and back end development
• 3+ years of hands on Word Press development experience in both enterprise environments and multisite environments
• Ability to create and deliver on the vision set forth in strategy projects
• Understand market drivers, trends, competitive positions, and opportunities
• Experience working on high traffic, consumer-facing products
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP and others used for web and mobile web development
• Active in the Word Press community
• Ability to deliver in an Agile workflow
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services and other micro-services
• Knowledge of Content Delivery Networks and CI/CD stack
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of quality code using cutting-edge techniques and tools
• Set coding standards, share best practices, and implement effective development processes
• Analyze team performance and mentor junior team members
• Gather business requirements, create technical roadmap, and deliver projects on time
• Build fully functioning Word Press websites and mobile projects
• Modify existing systems and suggest new technologies to senior leadership
• Create test criteria and participate in systems testing when needed
