Japanese Food Distributor - Secaucus, NJ

Job Summary:

IT Supervisor is responsible for supervising the IT Engineer Support while they complete repairs and installations. IT supervisor will supervise that upgrades and maintain a company's computer systems, including databases, mainframe systems, data communication networks and software programs.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
  • Answer user inquiries regarding software and/or hardware operation to resolve issues
  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing and/or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems and/or appropriate software
  • Oversee set up of system account and email
  • Oversee set up of mobile devices
  • Refer hardware/software problems and/or defective products to vendors/technicians for service
  • Administration of Windows Server Systems and local area network infrastructure
  • Perform remote/on-site troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by users
  • Pass on any unresolved issues, feedback, or suggestions by users to the internal and external IT team
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
  • Monitoring and maintaining networks and servers
  • Upgrading, installing, and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives
  • Creating user accounts and performing access control
  • Documenting processes, as well as backing up and archiving data
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, network, and other tech products

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
  • Ability to deal with confidential information
  • BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science, or relevant field
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 15 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to enter and maneuver in confined spaces
  • Willingness to work overtime upon request in order to complete tasks associated with the company
