ABOUT THE OFFICE

The office designs, deploys and evaluates citywide strategies to drive down crime, reduce unnecessary arrests and incarceration, and improve the system’s fairness. MOCJ works with law enforcement and city agencies, non‑profits, foundations, and others to implement data‑driven strategies that address current crime conditions, prevent offending, and build the strong neighborhoods that ensure enduring safety.

MOCJ team members operate in a collaborative, service‑oriented environment, where flexibility and the ability to achieve results are valued. All managers lead teams and/or lines of service, assuming increasing levels of responsibility for the organization’s success. Managers must serve as principal ambassadors for the agency and are expected to handle confidential matters, promote established priorities, deescalate conflict, and proactively escalate issues along with proposed solutions. Contract Managers are front‑line managers who oversee one or more areas of services and are accountable for the success of an assigned team.

MOCJ is seeking an exceptional procurement professional to serve as a Contract Manager assisting the Deputy Agency Chief Contracting Officer (DACCO) in managing contract actions. The successful candidate will have worked in a fast‑paced environment and have extensive experience in managing City procurements, including reviewing and approving.
