Some sites have optional no-cost housing that will be provided in a recreational vehicle or dormitory. These positions are stationed at one site but work on programs throughout the district. The proposed housing locations, though subject to change within each district, are:

  • Absaroka District in Northeast WY:
Stationed at Keyhole State Park near Moorcroft. Housing consists of a dormitory containing six single‑occupancy rooms, organized into two wings, with one shared bathroom in each wing. Rooms are fully‑furnished, and the wings are joined together by a shared/fully‑equipped kitchen and communal area. Alternative housing in a Jay Co trailer may be available upon request for certain accommodations.
  • Big Horn District in Northwest WY:
Stationed at Boysen State Park in Shoshoni. Housing consists of a 2021 Jayco camper trailer with full hookups. Necessary amenities (cookware, bedding, towels, etc.) are provided. A washer and dryer are available at Park HQ. Pets are allowed with the prior approval of the site superintendent.
  • Laramie District in Southeast WY:
Stationed in Cheyenne or Laramie. No housing is provided. The hourly rate for this position will be on the higher end of the listed pay range to accommodate the lack of provided housing.
