Independent Contractor Teacher

Become an independent contractor teacher with Heritage Christian Online School in Sechelt, BC. This part-time role focuses on K-6 Community Connections, enriching student’s learning experiences.

We seek a candidate to guide in-person learning sessions once a week, facilitating engaging science or art activities for students. The role (0.075 FTE) spans 24 weeks at Crossroads Community Church, emphasizing creativity and relationship-building in education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach K-6 students in science or art/ADST

• Conduct one-day weekly in-person classes

• Build strong, positive relationships with students

• Adapt instructional techniques for student needs

• Collaborate with fellow educators and coordinators

Requirements:

• BC Teacher Certification is beneficial

• Experience in similar teaching roles required

• Demonstrable skills in emotional intelligence

• Familiarity with Community Connections or CC+ preferred

• Commitment to KCCS beliefs and educational values
