As a key member of the Sechelt Mental Health Assessment Treatment Services team, you'll work with individuals facing substance misuse and mental health issues. Your expertise will guide independent assessments, therapy sessions, and collaboration with healthcare professionals. You'll also participate in education services, case conferences, and ongoing program evaluation to enhance treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive mental health and substance use assessments
• Provide individual, group, couples, and family therapy
• Foster therapeutic relationships with clients and their families
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and training
• Assist in developing educational materials for clients
Requirements:
• Master's degree in Behavioral Health Discipline
• Three years of experience in substance use and mental health
• Valid BC Driver’s License required
• Strong understanding of DSM V and psychopharmacology
• Ability to deliver trauma-informed care
