Position: Recreation Therapist Senior Role
Join Vancouver Coastal Health as a Senior Recreation Therapist, focusing on integrated client care within the Sechelt Hospital's Adult Daycare team. This role emphasizes leadership and evidence-based recreation practices.

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality Recreation Therapy services tailored to the needs of clients in Long Term Care settings. Engage in program development, provide mentorship, and lead initiatives aligned with VCH’s focus on equity and cultural safety. Your contributions will help enhance patient experiences and therapeutic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and implement Recreation Therapy interventions

• Supervise and train staff and volunteers

• Engage in quality and research initiatives

• Develop therapeutic recreation services

• Formulate effective outreach strategies and plans

Requirements:

• CTRS certification and NCTRC exam completion

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

• Minimum two years of related experience

• Current CPR and First Aid certification

• Strong skills in client engagement and group communication
