In your role at Shorncliffe Village Care Home, you will work alongside the Recreation Therapist to implement vibrant recreation programs. This position involves organizing outings, adapting activities for residents' needs, and coordinating with volunteers. Regularly assessing participant engagement and maintaining necessary equipment is essential to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate recreation activities in consultation with the Recreation Therapist
• Organize patient transportation for community activities
• Direct volunteers and oversee activity adaptations
• Evaluate resident participation and provide feedback
• Maintain necessary equipment and organize for activities
Requirements:
• Completion of a recognized Recreation Diploma Program
• Valid Class 4 vehicle license may be necessary
• Proven ability to communicate effectively
• Strong organizational skills and teaching capability
• Physical ability to fulfill role requirements
