The TeamThe Sunshine Coast CYMH team is an established, close-knit and caring group of professionals who support each other through regular case consultation, collaboration and clinical supervision. With six clinicians based in Sechelt and Gibsons, a Team Leader and a CYMH Support Worker, the team works closely with MCFD child safety teams and community partners to provide responsive, culturally respectful support to children and youth experiencing moderate to severe mental health concerns.
Their strong community relationships and a child and youth approach help create inclusive, supportive services that promote the emotional and mental well-being of children, youth and families.
In this role, you’ll provide compassionate, trauma-informed and attachment-based clinical support to children and youth in care of the Ministry of Children and Family Development through assessment, treatment, crisis intervention and collaborative care planning. Working collaboratively alongside families, foster parents, internal Ministry teams, and community partners, you’ll help build stronger relationships, stability and emotional well-being for children and youth who have experienced trauma and other significant challenges.
This is a meaningful opportunity to be a source of care and support for children and families while contributing to positive change in their lives.
