Ultrasound Tech; Fulltime: T-F: shifts: One Night of call - Maybe occasion

The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound imaging studies as directed by a physician’s order. The technologist must be capable of performing patient care for age groups 0 to 105 years old.

The Ultrasound Technologist reports directly to Ultrasound Chief Technologist.

• Education:
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of accredited Ultrasound program.
• Must be registered in Diagnostic Ultrasound either by ARDMS or ARRT.
• Licensure/Certification:
• Certification in Ultrasound Technology by the ARDMS or ARRT is required.
• Work Experience:
• Prefer a minimum of 2 years of experience as a staff technologist, and possesses capabilities as determined to be adequate by the department head.

• Responsible for applying proper techniques and patient positioning to produce high quality ultrasound images.
• Responsible for on call procedures.
• Responsible for assisting physicians with procedures.
• Ensures operation of ultrasound equipment by following manufacturer’s instructions and calling for repairs when needed.
• Assists with maintaining necessary supplies in the department.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all policies, rules, and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
