Medical Assistant Certified; TLC Peds

Job Summary

Responsible for direct patient care and the assisting of the physician or mid-level practitioner. This position will report directly to the Clinic Site Manager.

• Education:
  
  High School graduate. Prefer graduate of a Medical Assistant program.
• Licensure/Certification: MA Certification preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Work Experience:
  
  Minimum 1 year working as a medical assistant in a practice, preferred. Graduation from a medical assistant program may be substituted in lieu of the 1-year work experience.

• Takes patient histories and vital signs.
• Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
• Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization procedures.
• Assist provider in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
• Removing sutures and changing dressings.
• Assist with Clinic Receptionist duties as needed.
• Assist with Medical Scribe duties as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

General office setting. No exposure to extremes in temperature, lighting or noise. Requires prolonged sitting and/or standing. Requires frequent keyboarding. Significant time spent looking at computer monitor.
