Job Overview
The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring the timely production of high-quality products. The successful candidate will possess a solid background in manufacturing processes and techniques, demonstrate strong leadership abilities, and have a proven track record of implementing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the entire production process to ensure products are manufactured on schedule and meet established quality standards.
- Lead and support the production team by ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance to achieve production goals.
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the seamless flow of materials and information throughout the facility.
- Manage budgets, production schedules, and personnel to meet targets while controlling costs.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor key production metrics continuously and provide regular performance updates to senior management.
- Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure the facility is optimally equipped to meet production requirements.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maximize operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Education in engineering, management, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in an Operations Manager type role in a manufacturing environment; experience with facility startups is a plus.
- Experience in interviewing and hiring production staff.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive process improvements.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in analyzing and interpreting data to inform decision-making.
