Laboratory Technician

Currently we have an opening for a Laboratory Technician located in Sedalia, MO. Details for the position are as follows:
Pay Range: $20-$24/hour

Job Description:

• Contract with the possibility of extending or converting to permanent based on performance and budget.
• Work Hours:
  
  12-Hr shift, day shift, 7am-7pm
• The usual schedule is 3-4 days per week, working every other weekend, and not working every holiday.
• Test, evaluate, and document the quality of incoming materials, intermediate products, and the general properties of finished goods.
• Support productivity improvement efforts by making process measurements, observations, and audits needed to support process investigations and experiments.

• Candidate must have high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Preferred:
  Experience in a physical testing lab.
• Preferred:
  Manufacturing experience.
• Accomplished at performing and evaluating physical measurements (i.e. reading calipers); proficient in test equipment troubleshooting techniques, scientific record keeping, and routine report writing.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems.
• Able to use MS Excel spreadsheets effectively, enter data in applications, and navigate basic file management systems.
• Detail oriented and accurate. Able to follow standard work and procedures.
• Self-motivated; able to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
• Must be a quick learner, a self-starter and demonstrate initiative.
