We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Overhead Crane Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating cranes to lift, move, and position reinforcing steel (rebar) safely around plant. If you have a strong focus on safety, precision, and teamwork, we invite you to apply and contribute to our ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities- Operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position rebar
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of cranes and related equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries
- Coordinate with managers and other team members to execute lifting plans effectively
- Maintain accurate records of operations, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report major problems to maintenance teams
- Ensure the work area is clear of hazards and that safety barriers are in place during operations
- Complete loading paperwork, as needed
- Proven experience operating overhead cranes in industrial or similar environments
- Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures related to crane operation
- Ability to operate forklift and switch tractor to load and unload rebar from trucks and other areas of the plant a plus
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle the demands of the job
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards
Previous overhead crane experience required.
