Practice:
Advanced Pet Care of Sedalia is a a cutting-edge, full-service, small animal practice that provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. We offer a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and external laboratories.
The facility includes 4 exam rooms, an open treatment area, individual DVM workstations, and amenities such as:
- Well-stocked pharmacy
- BRAND NEW Ultrasound – training provided!
- 2 Anesthesia machines
- Surgical Laser
- Digital Radiography
- Updated dental unit and digital dental radiographs
- Avimark software
- Closely supervised hospitalization area
- Indoor kennels and outdoor walking areas

Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program provides 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help them become 'practice ready' by their first day in practice.
Externships are typically 2 weeks long, and Heartland will cover lodging costs if needed.
The length of the externship is flexible, and we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.

Qualifications:
Eligibility
Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
Must be able to provide student PLIT.
