Job DescriptionTo provide guests with an outstanding experience through exceptional service while assisting the manager in reaching sales goals and minimizing shrinkage. Team members will achieve these goals through quality‑prepared food and great guest service.
Duties and Responsibilities- Consistently demonstrate Woods Supermarket D&E service and Hospitality 4.
- Maintain an enthusiastic customer experience, focusing on fast, friendly, and accurate service.
- Be courteous and helpful to teammates.
- Follow technical manuals for product processing, labeling, and packaging.
- Ensure receiving, preparation, conditioning, and display of merchandise complies with company and vendor guidelines.
- Maintain proper sanitation of department, equipment, food handling, and preparation areas.
- Report or correct unsafe conditions that could cause accidents.
- Report all teammate and guest accidents to the manager on duty.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Update displays and customer‑facing areas to showcase new items and promotions.
- Prep, store, rotate, and stock merchandise.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by managers, including substitution for absent teammates and additional duties during peak periods.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Grocery store setting; inside work with variations in heat, cold, dust, and humidity caused by opening store entrance doors. Some outside work may be required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Work independently and with a team.
- Provide and lead others to provide prompt and courteous guest service.

- Interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
- Establish goals and guide teammate performance to ensure quality and completion of work assignments.

- Operate a cash register efficiently and accurately.
- Operate equipment (electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, cardboard baler) and perform general cleaning duties to company standards.
- Stay organized and multi‑task professionally, following instructions and paying attention to detail.
- Meet any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.
- Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
