Position Details:
- Pay: $30.60 per hour
- Work Hours:
start between 6 pm to 7 pm - work until finished - Shift: 3rd shift, Sunday to Thursday nights
- Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000 (not eligible for employees who have worked for a Performance Food Group‑owned company within the last 6 months)

Position
Purpose:
Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers ensure the customers’ products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition, and they are also the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers. As a Shuttle Driver, you will transport empty trailers to the Operating Company warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations.
You will drive a tandem trailer, tractor trailer, and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, meet DOT regulations, and communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations; ensure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed.
- Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies; immediately report all safety hazards. Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
- Ensure all required route paperwork is with tractor trailer load and available to driver upon dispatch.
- Drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedule.
- Perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
- Parks and stores tractor trailers in designated areas.
- Ensure all equipment and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured.
- Collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailer, bring back to driver check‑in at base facility, and complete necessary paperwork.
- Unload all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required.
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- 12 months commercial driving experience
- High school diploma/GED or state‑approved equivalent
- Internal candidates must be in good standing
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
- Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement
- Must be 21 years of age
- Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday‑Thursday nights (schedules may vary)
- Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
- Ability to hand‑lift and utilize two‑wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from between 10‑35 pounds and up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location
Compensation: $30.60 per hour
