RN - Emergency Department (Experienced RN) Verde Valley/Sedona Medical Center. Sign on/Relocation opportunities available.

Location:

Cottonwood/Sedona Arizona, tucked between Mingus Mountain and the red rocks of Sedona.

Role:
Registered Nurse in a Level 4 Trauma Center. Nights, Full-time.

• Assesses the needs and conditions of assigned patients by gathering relevant patient health information.
• Identifies outcomes, develops a plan of care individualized to the patient and/or situation, and implements the identified plan appropriate for the attainment of the expected outcomes.
• Assesses patient progress toward outcomes and revises diagnoses, outcomes and plans of care as appropriate.
• Contributes to patient experience by providing safe, high quality and patient-centered care, respecting patients' privacy and treating all patients, family members and guests with dignity, respect and compassion.
• Evaluates patient conditions frequently and adapts the plan of care accordingly.
• Performs aseptic techniques by maintaining a sterile field and following infection control principles.
• Maintains infection prevention standards.
• Collaborates with physicians and other health care professionals.
• Assists with procedures and transportation throughout the hospital per policies and procedures.

• Associates degree or diploma in nursing (BSN preferred).
• All associate degree nurses must graduate from a BSN program within 6 years of hire into an RN position.

• Active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid compact license - Required
• BLS - Required
• ACLS – Required
• PALS or ENPC – Required within 90 days of hire
• NIHSS – Required within 30 days of hire
• ATCN or TNCC – Required within 18 months of hire
• NRP – Preferred
• STABLE - Preferred

• Emergency Nursing: 1 year in the emergency department experience (peds and/or adult).
• Familiar with electronic medical record system.
• Basic computer software programs (Windows).
