Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Part‑time (20 hrs/week) at Potomac Management Solutions, LLC, Cascade Job Corps Center, Washington, D.C.
We’re seeking an experienced Mental Health Consultant to join our professional team at the Cascade Job Corps Center. This government‑funded, no‑cost education and vocational training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor helps socioeconomically disadvantaged youth. Qualifications- Active license to practice as an LSW, LCSW, or Psychologist in the state of Washington.
- At least one year of non‑internship post‑graduation experience at a residential treatment facility or similar setting with a license.
- Staff development: advice to the Center Director and health and wellness staff on mental‑health matters and overall program consultation, including staffing requirements.
- Program coordination: consultation to promote coordination and integration of the mental‑health and wellness program with other Center activities such as counseling, residential life, and recreation.
- Student support: advice and assistance to wellness course instructors and ongoing mental‑health consultation with health and wellness staff, counselors, residential advisors, instructors, and other appropriate staff concerning students’ mental‑health problems.
- Program development: assistance with program development to meet students’ life crises in constructive ways, including career preparation, transition periods, disciplinary program, maximum benefits program, cultural awareness program, and trainee employee assistance program (TEAP).
- Clinical services: diagnostic and evaluative services to in‑patients or out‑patients; limited psychiatric treatment (crisis intervention, brief psychotherapy, intermittent supportive psychotherapy, psychotropic drug management, group psychotherapy) as permitted by licensure or accreditation; referral assistance for students who must be separated for mental‑health reasons.
- Record management: ensure maintenance, confidentiality, and safeguarding of all necessary mental‑health records; issuance and maintenance of signed and dated health care guidelines regarding mental‑health matters.
- TEAP consultation: consultation on system development to promote coordination and integration of the mental‑health program with the TEAP and related center‑wide programs; staff development on coping with alcohol and drug use; clinical assistance to students with co‑morbid psychiatric and substance‑abuse disorders; review folders and assist with the reasonable accommodation process.
