Responsibilities:- Adhere to all company policies and procedures at all times.
- Comply personally with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and proactively recommend improvements to enhance workplace health and safety.
- Consistently demonstrate safe work practices and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout requirements.
- Collaborate effectively as a team member and maintain positive working relationships with all departments.
- Perform both planned (preventive and predictive) and unplanned maintenance on production and facility equipment, accurately documenting completed work in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Recommend preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives to improve operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and performance.
- Complete minor electrical and/or mechanical projects assigned by the Team Lead or Supervisor.
- Repair, replace, and maintain electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components—including motors, contractors, relays, timers, switches, PLCs, light curtains, motor controls, and valves—as directed.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in electrical systems, including complex interlocked circuits, integrated systems, and sequencing controls.
- Identify hazards, defects, and required adjustments or repairs by diagnosing complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems.
- Inspect, install, repair, and replace wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
- Assist with the installation, setup, modification, and relocation of equipment to support and enhance production requirements.
- Test electrical and electronic components for continuity, voltage, current, and resistance.
- Install new power supply lines for new or relocated equipment in accordance with IEE wiring regulations, the Electrical Safety Code, and company standards.
- Wire control panels based on technical drawings and verbal instructions while ensuring compliance with Hydro Codes and applicable regulations.
- Perform electrical load calculations and select appropriate component sizes and ratings in accordance with current electrical codes.
- Support the management and maintenance of spare parts inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with housekeeping standards.
- Be available to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
- Be capable of safely lifting loads exceeding 50 lbs.
- 6 years or more maintenance experience, or 4 years of experience with one of the following:
- 309A-Electrician-Construction & Maintenance
- 433A-Industrial Mechanic
- Deep knowledge of electrical and hydraulic sys
- Comprehensive command of maintenance procedures and techniques
- Forklift and/or scissor lift certification or experience
