Instructional Aide Middle School, Long-Term Substitute

Location: Dr. Kevin M. Hurley Middle School

Rate of Pay: Salary range of $15.20 to $21.90 per hour

The instructional aide assists teachers and/or building administrators in the supervision and instruction of students in the classroom during instructional periods and through the school environment as determined by the principal or designee.

Reports to: Building Principal/Assistant Principal

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with children and adults
• Demonstrated ability to work well with teachers, students, and administrators
• One of the following: A Bachelor's Degree
  An Associate's Degree A passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment

• Supports students in classroom learning.
• Under the supervision of a certified teacher, prepare for classroom activities.
• Assist in preparing class displays/bulletin boards and caring for equipment.
• Assist in duties relating to the supervision of the playground, study hall, cafeteria, bus loading, etc.
• Participate in in-service training programs when appropriate.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the building principal.
