For our recent expansion in Rhode Island, we are seekingուրդ a detail‑oriented and compassionate Care Coordinator and Scheduler with strong experience in the home care industry—particularly in recruiting, hiring, and managing Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). This position oversees all aspects of client care coordination, scheduling, and caregiver management to ensure high‑quality, compliant home care services. Depending on the candidate’s background and business development, the role may begin as part‑time and transition to full‑time, or start as full‑time immediately for candidates with proven leadership and hiring experience.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct client intakes and in‑home assessments; develop individualized care and service plans.
- Manage caregiver scheduling and match staff to clients based on qualifications, experience, and availability.
- Lead CNA recruitment and hiring efforts: post job openings, screen applicants, conduct interviews, and coordinate onboarding and orientation.
- Maintain staffing levels by proactively building and managing a pipeline of CNAs and other care staff.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate caregiver performance; identify training needs and ensure ongoing development.
- Handle schedule changes, call‑outs, and client requests with professionalism and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with Rhode Island Department of Health regulations, HIPAA standards, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of all client and caregiver interactions, visits, and updates in company systems.
- Participate in quality assurance reviews to improve care delivery and operational effectiveness.
- Provide after‑hours support for scheduling or new client inquiries on a rotating basis.
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Associate degree or higher preferred. - Minimum 2 years of experience in home care scheduling, coordination, or staff management within Rhode Island.
- Proven ability to hire, train, and manage CNAs and home care staff.
- Familiarity with Rhode Island home care regulations and caregiver credentialing requirements.
- Experience with digital scheduling systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
- Organized, proactive, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and current auto insurance.
- Ability to travel for interviews, assessments, and caregiver supervision.
- Flexibility to cover occasional caregiver shifts if desired for additional hours or team insight.
