THEOPPORTUNITY
As Kitchen Leader, you will learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You are responsible for ensuring our food is absolutely delicious. You’ll order the food, maintain inventory, and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders. Your role helps ensure the quality and safety of Chipotle’s food every day. You will keep the kitchen organized, stocked, safe, and clean, model teamwork for crew members, and support a great customer experience.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, following kitchen procedures
- Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues
- Support a strong team dynamic between back‑of‑house and front‑of‑house crew
- Develop crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders
- Communicate with crew members and customers effectively to ensure great service and throughput
- Ensure the cleaned and sanitized
- Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; identify and report malfunctions promptly
- Ensure the kitchen and all crew members meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents
- Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and inventory rotation (FIFO)
- Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy
- Proficiency in the primary language(s) of the work location
- High school diploma
- Prior restaurant experience

Base pay: $16.90–$18.81 per hour (actual base pay may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education). Digital tips apply. In addition to base pay, Chipotle offers a competitive benefits package. Visit for more details.
