Overview

Target is hiring for a General Merchandise Expert in General Merchandise, Closing, Fulfillment, Inbound, Food & Beverage, Starbucks. The starting hourly rate is $17.25, with a pay range of $17.25 – $25.90 per hour. This role supports guest experience through product set, in-stock status, pricing accuracy, and efficient fulfillment processes across GM areas of the store.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Assist guests in a welcoming manner to help solve their needs.
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
• Execute daily tasks to achieve business goals, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and posting promotional signs for GM areas.
• If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Perform processes such as price changes, merchandise setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn how procedures related to merchandising, stock management, and store layout affect inventory, profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services including back-up cashier duties and digital fulfillment (picking/packing orders or delivering pickup orders) while complying with relevant laws.
• Other duties as needed by the business.

• Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds without assistance.
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance required.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions, including drives, carryout, etc., as applicable to the role.
• Must be able to remain mobile for the duration of a shift.
