On-Demand Team Members (TM) work as much or as little as needed, with schedules that vary based on shift availability and store needs. You are not included on the posted weekly schedule and can create your own schedule by picking up shifts via the myTime scheduling app. Reliability and prompt attendance are essential. Active engagement is required by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum four hours).
If you do not respond to attempts to contact you or do not work a shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. After offer, you will attend a Welcome orientation and undergo a short-term training schedule before using the myTime app to select shifts.
Starting hourly rate is $17.25 per hour. Pay range is $17.25 – $25.90 per hour.

Advocates aim to welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations, promote benefits and services, and empower guests to use Target Wallet and Target App features. They help with returns and de-escalation while following Target policies and procedures.
What the role can provide you with: the skills and experience to engage with guests, solve problems, adapt to different interactions, and promote Target benefits and services. This includes understanding and directing guests to enrollment in loyalty and fulfillment options, as well as guiding them through store tools and services.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate a service culture prioritizing the guest experience and delivering the service standard.
- Greet guests, assist with daily tasks, and engage to solve guest needs.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve issues and improve guest experience.
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company practices.
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
- Inform guests about current brand launches and store activities; promote loyalty programs and fulfillment services.
- Show guests how to use Wallet and Target App features; assist with sign-ups as needed.
- Handle returns following policies; collaborate with leaders to resolve guest concerns.
- Deliver easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area; stock supplies during store hours.
- Adhere to safety policies and report hazards; practice ethical conduct and compliance.
- Support cash office processes as needed and manage cash systems.
- Perform other duties as required by business needs.

Basics we expect
- Accurate cash handling and support for cash office operations as needed.
- Safe handling and stocking of merchandise, lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance.
- Flexibility to pick up shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) to meet store needs.
- Active engagement by picking up shifts and responding to contact attempts; failure to work a shift within 5 months may lead to administrative termination.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.).
- Mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift.
