A dedicated part-time or full-time associate doctor is sought to join an enthusiastic team at a vibrant office located in Seguin, Texas. As a private group practice, this establishment takes pride in delivering comprehensive eye care in a welcoming environment. This office specializes in full scope optometry, offering a balanced mix of routine and medical eye care services. Typically, the schedule consists of three exams per hour, averaging about 15 exams each day. Innovative technology, including Optos, OCT, topography, and visual field assessments, is utilized to conduct thorough evaluations. With a full-service optical on-site, the practice is well-equipped to meet the diverse needs of its patients.
The current team comprises six full-time professionals, including opticians and technicians, who work collaboratively to deliver the highest possible care.
Key responsibilities for the optometrist position include:
- Conducting comprehensive eye examinations and providing accurate diagnoses.
- Providing contact lens exams and fittings tailored to individual patient needs.
- Managing and treating various ocular conditions, including medical emergencies.
- Prescribing corrective lenses and recommending appropriate treatment options.
- Collaborating with optical staff and technicians to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintaining accurate patient records using the EHR system.
The practice offers a competitive pay structure based on experience, as well as the following benefits:
- Paid malpractice insurance and coverage for the Texas license.
- Paid holidays, including New Year’s, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
- Paid time off: 10 days in the first year; 14 days in the second year.
- Reimbursement for Continuing Education, with support of up to $500 per year.
- Health insurance coverage with 50% of costs covered.
- Flexible scheduling options available:
Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM;
Friday, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school
- Valid state optometry license or in the process of obtaining
