- Work in various roles within operations team to learn equipment, processes and procedures from start to finish.
- Monitor and analyze Melt Shop processes to identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, cost, and quality.
- Develop and implement process control strategies for steel melting and refining operations.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate process documentation.
- Support capital projects and process upgrades.
- Train and mentor operators on process improvements and best practices.
- Participate in root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective actions.
- 2+ years experience working with the Melt Shop process.
- Experience with data software such as Power BI, SQL, and Python.
- Experience with Automation Design.
- SAP experience strongly preferred.
- Critical thinking, strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
- Shows a safety-first mindset; recommends improvements to make the workplace safer for self and others.
- Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs.
- Must be willing to learn and tackle new challenges.
- Is organized and shows attention to detail, with a "get it right the first time" mindset.
- Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
