Local Contract LPN​/LVN - Dialysis

Heart Centrix Solutions is seeking a LPN / LVN Dialysis for a local contract job in Seguin, Texas.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Shifts may vary between 3x12hr or 4x10hr.

Responsibilities
-Provide direct patient care for assigned patients.
-Perform all technical aspects of dialysis treatments as prescribed.
-Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters and patient condition.
-Report any significant patient changes or equipment problems to supervisor.
-Assist in patient/family education regarding dialysis therapy, diet, and medications.
-Administer intravenous medications as ordered.
-Perform and document pre-, interim-, and post-treatment reviews of patient condition.
-Respond to emergency situations, including initiating CPR if needed.
-Safely operate dialysis equipment and perform minor troubleshooting.
-Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary treatment area.
-Participate in staff meetings and care plan meetings.
-Support and mentor other staff as needed.

Physical Demands
-Regularly involves heavy lifting, moving patients, and assisting with ambulation.
-Frequent standing and bending required.
-May need to move machines/equipment up to 200 lbs. with assistance.
-May lift chemical/water solutions up to 30 lbs. to a height of 5 feet.
-Exposure to healthcare environment and infectious materials.

Education
-Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN, LVN).
-Current state licensure.

Experience & Skills
-At least 1 year of dialysis LPN/LVN experience within the last 2 years.
-Current CPR certification.
-Ability to provide coverage at other facilities if needed.
-Must pass Ishihara Color Blindness test (reasonable accommodation may be considered).
-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
