What You'll Do
- Responsible for the delivery of products to customers, contractors, and jobsites throughout the geographic region.
- Inspect vehicle(s) for safety or operational defects using DOT, maintenance, and safety checklists; ensure emergency equipment is in proper working order.
- Use Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) during vehicle operation; driver will be trained accordingly.
- Load truck which may require securing chains, tarping loads, and hooking trailers.
- Perform frequent physical activities such as walking, climbing stairs/ladders, working with chains, and inspecting equipment.
- Set up sideboard kits around the trailer perimeter.
- Demonstrate dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility.
- Participate in CMC Safety Programs and uphold safety culture.
- Work safely to prevent injuries, following safety rules and wearing PPE.
- Understand start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures.
- Maintain daily housekeeping duties.
What You'll Need
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License.
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor/trailer experience.
- Knowledge of D.O.T. Regulations/Requirements.
- No recent violations for reckless or negligent operation, felonies involving CMV, DUI/DWI, multiple moving violations, preventable accidents, or excessive speeding.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights out of state, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Your Education
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
