History Teacher

Location: Selby
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: February 2026

GSL Education are recruiting a knowledgeable History Teacher to join a secondary school in Selby.

The Humanities department values critical thinking and encourages pupils to engage thoughtfully with historical themes and perspectives. The school maintains high standards of behaviour and academic progress.

Teach History across KS3 and KS4

Plan engaging and well-structured lessons

Prepare pupils for GCSE assessments

Monitor progress and provide feedback

Contribute to whole-school initiatives

QTS with a Humanities or History specialism

Experience teaching in secondary education

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
