GSL Education are currently seeking a Science Teacher to work across a range of forward-thinking secondary schools in Selby. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and innovative educator who is committed to delivering engaging Science lessons and helping students develop a strong understanding of the world around them.

The successful Science Teacher will deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging curiosity, scientific enquiry, and problem‑solving skills. We are looking to recruit a Science Teacher who can teach engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, while creating an inclusive learning environment that enables every student to thrive.

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Teach practical and theoretical aspects of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in line with the curriculum
• Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom and laboratory environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote high standards of teaching and student success

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting
• Strong classroom management and effective communication skills
• Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students through engaging lessons
• Strong organisational and planning skills with a commitment to student achievement
• An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
• An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
