Would you like to play a key role in helping people access affordable housing across North Yorkshire?

We're looking for talented and motivated Housing Allocations Team Leaders to join our Housing Management and Landlord Services Team.

Our Service

You will lead a team responsible for administering the housing register and allocating homes in line with legislation, regulatory requirements and the Council's Allocations Policy.

You will ensure applications are assessed consistently and fairly, drive service improvements and help shape the future direction of housing allocations across one of the country's largest local authority areas. The role also plays a key part in supporting the delivery and ongoing development of the North Yorkshire Home Choice partnership, working collaboratively with registered providers, housing partners and other stakeholders across the county.

  • Experience of interpreting and applying housing policies, procedures and legislation to make sound decisions.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
