Weighbridge & Yard Operator

Location: Selby, Yorkshire

Position: Part-Time Evening Shift

Hours: 17:00 – 22:00, Monday to Friday

We have an exciting opportunity for a dependable and safety-focused Weighbridge & Yard Operator to join our client's esteemed team at their Selby site. This is a part-time evening position perfect for those looking to maintain a great work-life balance while contributing to a dynamic environment.

• Accurately book drivers in and out using the weighbridge system (SAP).
• Safely shunt and manoeuvre vehicles around the yard in line with site requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all company health and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle movements.
• Communicate effectively with drivers and colleagues to maintain smooth site operations.
• Conduct basic checks on vehicles and report any issues promptly.

• Previous experience in weighbridge or yard operations is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
• An HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence is desirable but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling documentation.
• Ability to work independently and make safe, effective decisions.
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.

• Competitive hourly rate of £15 per hour.
• Fixed evening hours for an ideal work-life balance.
• Approximately 25 hours per week (temp cover post for around 6 months).
