As a result of sustained business growth, SAESL has continued to expand its facilities and develop new capabilities for both its engine overhaul and component repair businesses. The Engine Overhaul business has the capability to service all products in the Trent engine family, this includes Trent 500, Trent 700, Trent 800, Trent 900, Trent 1000 and Trent XWB; SAESL is the only Trent engine MRO that can support all product variants.
The Engine Overhaul business has the capacity to repair and overhaul over 300 Trent engines per year and it is equipped with a state‑of‑the‑art Engine Test Facility that supports our best‑in‑class engine turnaround times.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail‑oriented individual to join our Component Repair (General) team at the SAESL Seletar Facility (SSF).
Job Responsibilities- Training and familiarization for the new equipment.
- Verify machines, utilities and safety.
- Run trials, validation and functional checks.
- Support MES, SOP.
- Validate HSE control and ergonomics.
- Audit prep, 5S, coordination and documentation.
- Preparing for training to new employees.
- Execute first live repair with engineering.
- Ensure that all work carried out is performed in accordance with the current approved overhaul/engine manuals or other OEM work instructions.
- Make every effort to train and learn new skills required in order to perform duties effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure that the standard of workmanship is kept at the highest level.
- Keep the respective workstations and work areas clean.
- Ensure that the daily man‑hours clocking are booked accurately.
- Ensure that all relevant safety procedures are strictly complied with.
- Maintain, and always use the correct tools/equipment and hand tools when performing daily tasks.
- Always maintain the highest standard of discipline.
- Actively support and promote continuous improvement as a way of life and in specific programs/activities within the company.
- Other duties as assigned by the respective Cell or work area supervisor or Team Leader.
- Technical diploma, apprenticeship, or equivalent in machining, welding, aerospace manufacturing, or mechanical engineering.
- Current welding certification(s) relevant to aerospace (e.g., AWS D17.1, EN 1418, or OEM‑specific) in GTAW/TIG welding on nickel alloys, titanium, and stainless steels.
- CNC programming and operation certification for 5‑axis machining (preferred: Mastercam, Siemens NX, or OEM‑specific).
- Heat treatment process qualification for localized stress relief / solution annealing (induction, resistance, or blanket heating).
- Minimum 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in aircraft engine case repair (fan cases, compressor cases, turbine cases, intermediate cases, etc.) in an MRO or OEM overhaul environment.
- Proven proficiency in the following key processes:
- Welding — Precision TIG/GTAW welding, weld repair of cracks, porosity, and damaged areas; weld buildup and blending on cases; post‑weld heat treatment coordination.
- 5‑Axis Machining & Milling — Operation and basic programming of 5‑axis CNC machines for complex case features (flanges, bosses, mounting pads, seal lands, bearing housings); contour milling, drilling, boring, and thread repair.
