Overview
The School of Nursing at Ivy Tech Community College campus in Sellersburg is seeking adjunct faculty with experience in one or more of the following areas: medical-surgical nursing, mental health nursing, obstetrics/labor and delivery, or pediatrics. Passionate nurses encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities- Serve as a clinical instructor for students within the Practical Nursing Technical Certificate and the Associate of Science in Nursing programs.
- Create a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals.
- Provide effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.
- Assist academic administrators with curriculum development, student advising, and program enrollment.
- Provide institutional support and community service. Fully support the College's mission and strategic plan initiatives.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a registered nurse.
- Current, unencumbered Indiana registered nurse license.
- Earned master’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution OR earned Bachelor’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution AND within one semester of initial appointment, must have a written academic plan of study for completion of a Master’s degree in nursing; provide ongoing documentation each semester demonstrating matriculation towards completion of a Master’s degree in nursing; continued employment of a person who does not hold a Master’s degree in nursing shall be contingent upon documented progress towards their approved academic plan.
