Qualifications:
- Minimum Associate's degree;
Bachelor's degree preferred - Successful experiences collaborating with teachers, staff, students, and community members.
- Social work or counseling background (preferred)
- Professionalism and confidentiality in all matters and especially in accordance to FERPA
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Serve as the main point of contact for community outreach to establish local partnerships and positive relationships with SCP; notably for referral purposes and student needs.
- Provide parent resources and skills training to improve student success within the school environment.
- Participate in the RTI process for student behavioral and social-emotional needs.
- Implement and facilitate social-emotional learning (SEL) small groups.
- Lead the social-emotional focus for all students and staff at the building level.
- Lead the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) team.
- Participate in the retention process for students.
- Provide student discipline follow-up as part of a response team.
- Focus on attendance protocol and follow up with families to ensure policies are followed.
- Serves as a member of the SCSC Counseling team.
- Crisis Intervention Team Member
- Annual School Supplies Drive
- Implements and oversees Zones of Regulation
- Writes grants for funds to support family needs
- Other duties as assigned
Contractual Days: Beginning to End of School Year:
One hundred ninety (190) days (180 student days plus 10 holidays).
