Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Eventus Whole Health delivers an integrated model of care to adults residing in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities through a network of healthcare providers, including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Medical Assistants, and in-house Support Staff.

We are seeking a Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist to join our team! You will provide recovery-oriented support and case management services to residents of long-term care facilities and their families. Opportunities may exist for future transition to providing counseling services. Our care addresses a wide range of issues from anxiety and depression to severe mental illnesses and end-of-life concerns. As part of a multidisciplinary team, our clinicians significantly impact residents' quality of life by solving problems, delivering excellent clinical care, and serving as a vital link in the care of this vulnerable population.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications/

Education:

Master’s degree in counseling or marriage and family therapy, with eligibility for licensure in the practicing state.

Knowledge:

• Population-specific interventions and care following treatment plans.
• Regulations governing behavioral health practice.
• Organizational policies and procedures.

Skills Required:

• Data gathering and analysis of physiological, socioeconomic, behavioral, and emotional information.
• Training in social/emotional well-being, stress, anger management, and life skills.
• Accurate evaluation and appropriate intervention skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• High initiative, judgment, and discretion.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Abilities:

• React calmly in emergencies.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members.
• Evaluate and recommend quality improvements.
• Handle sensitive information confidentially.
