Job Description - Sleep Lab Technician PRN )
Vaughan Regional Medical Center
Responsibilities- A Polysomnographic Technician performs comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis, and associated interventions under the general supervision of a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and/or the clinical director (MD, PhD, DO) or designee.
- A Polysomnographican provide supervision of a Polysomnographic Trainee.
- Education
:
High school diploma or equivalent; BLS certification required. - Experience: A minimum of 6 months of experience as a Polysomnographic Trainee or 1 year of hospital experience is preferred
- Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, guests/visitors/family, physicians and hospital personnel. Must have good documentation and assessment skills.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods, walk at least 4 hours per day, lift/carry 20 pounds, hear alarms and telephone rings, distinguish colors, perform repetitive tasks/motions, have good eye/hand/foot coordination, and have clear vision at 20 or more feet with vision corrective device.
