Description
The goal of the CT Technologist is to perform the best possible images for the radiologist and referring physician. This position requires wise use of radiation, independent use of judgment and responsibility to assure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Requires operating and troubleshooting sophisticated equipment. Maintains willingness to cross-train in specialty and other areas to meet the needs of the department.
Safely transport patients to and from Radiology. Use of the HMS system for ordering and outstanding list.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an AMA accredited program in Radiologic Technology. ARRT registered in Radiography. Registry eligible in CT. Registry eligible staff is required to achieve certification within 12 months of hire date. BLS certification.
Experience: At least one year of CT experience.
Skills: Must be able to work independently. Requires on-call, scheduled weeknights, weekends, and holidays which may contribute to emotional stress.
Requires physical demands such as lifting and transporting patients. Must demonstrate knowledge of all age groups served. Must possess basic computer/clerical skills. Proper telephone etiquette. Communicates effectively with others.

Physical Requirements
:
Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods, walk at least 5 hours per day, lift /carry 15 pounds, hear alarms and telephone rings, distinguish colors, perform repetitive tasks/motions, have good eye/hand/foot coordination, and have clear vision at 20 or more feet with or without vision corrective device.
