DIRECTOR OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES AND VECTOR CONTROL
Dallas County is seeking a candidate for the position of Director of Environmental Services and Vector Control. Position is full-time and offers employee benefits. The Director will be responsible for the overall operations and management of the Environmental Services and Vector Control Department. Duties will include supervising, assigning duties and reviewing work of staff; training new employees; administering all billing for the City of Orrville and ensuring proper contractual terms are carried out by contractor.
The Director will oversee vector program activities and will also deal extensively with the public, answering customer questions and complaints and taking appropriate action. Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate with both internal and external contacts. Candidate must be computer literate.
Education and Experience
:
High School Diploma or GED Certificate required at minimum;
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies/Science, Public Administration or related field preferred. At least 1-2 years management experience required. Must possess a valid Alabama Driver’s License.
